Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using RocketShare. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using RocketShare ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.
You must be at least 16 years old to use RocketShare. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
These Terms apply to all users, including anonymous users who use the Service without creating an account.
2. Description of Service
2.1 What RocketShare provides
RocketShare is a zero-knowledge encrypted file sharing service that enables you to:
- Upload and share files with end-to-end encryption
- Generate secure, expiring share links
- Share files without requiring recipients to create accounts
- Control file expiration (up to 90 days depending on plan)
2.2 Zero-knowledge architecture
Our service is built on zero-knowledge encryption:
- Files are encrypted in your browser before upload using AES-256-GCM
- Encryption keys are embedded in share links (URL fragment) and never transmitted to our servers
- We cannot access, read, or decrypt your files—this is a technical limitation, not just a policy
- We cannot recover your files if you lose the share link
2.3 What RocketShare is NOT
RocketShare is:
- ❌ NOT permanent storage—files automatically expire and are deleted
- ❌ NOT a backup service—we do not retain copies after expiration
- ❌ NOT a file sync service—files are not synchronized across devices
- ❌ NOT recoverable—if you lose your share link, we cannot help you recover the files
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account creation
You may use RocketShare with or without an account:
- Anonymous use: You can upload and share files without an account, subject to free tier limits
- Registered accounts: Creating an account enables additional features and higher limits

If you create an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials

3.3 Account termination
